Hip-Op© Suite: Free Surgical Planning System

Hip-Op© is a surgical planning system for total hip replacement originally conceived at the Istituti Ortopedici Rizzoli (Bologna, Italy) and currently developed by the Bio-Computing Competence Centre.

HipOp_Multi

Hip-Op© is available in two different versions: HipOpCT© and HipOpRX©.

HipOpCT© reads a CT dataset of the hip region and allows the surgeon to plan the type, the size and the position of the hip prosthesis that best fits into the patient anatomy.
Scientists can also use the program to study bones morphometry or to develop computer models of intact and virtually operated bones.

When no CT study is available, HipOpRX© reads radiographic images and allows the surgeon to plan the hip replacement by choosing the suitable size and the position of the hip prosthesis.

Registered users can download the program free under the limitations defined by the license agreement.
