HipOpRX© is a free software application for pre-operative planning of total hip replacement based on radiographic images and 3D prostheses models.

The software allows importing XRay images in DICOM and in other imaging standard formats. The surgeon can plan the size and the position of the implant, choosing from a database of commercial prostheses.

It is also possible to take several kinds of measurements on the radiographs.

Although the planning enviroment is based on radiographs, the prosthetic model is three-dimensional and thus it is possible to control such as parameters like intra-extra rotation that is not possible from conventional templating.

HipOpRX© saves patient's data, prosthesis's type and size, the performed measures and any images taken from the planning session in a report.
