HipOpCT© is a free software application for pre-operative planning of total hip replacement based on CT data and 3D prostheses models.

The software allows importing CT images in DICOM or RAW format. Once imported, the CT dataset is visualized through several modalities from which the surgeon can plan the size and the position of the implant, choosing from a database of commercial prostheses.

It is also possible to take several kinds of measurements such as femoral anteversion, femoral neck diameter, acetabular version, femoral canal diameter.

HipOpCT© provides two different quality indexes, the density map and the distance map. The former shows which kind of bone is in contact with the prosthesis, whereas the latter shows how much the distance from the prosthesis to the cortical bone varies on the prosthesis surface.

HipOpCT© saves patient's data, prosthesis's type and size, the performed measures and any images taken from the planning session in a report.
